The Decision Analysis and Resolution (DAR) process is a quick and effective method of evaluating key decisions and proposed solutions. DAR can apply to all levels of decisions made within a program or project. Typically it is applied to management or technical decisions that are high-risk or that have a significant consequence later in the project. DAR ensures a controlled decision process, rather than a reactionary one for critical choices.

In this workshop,
participants apply a DAR process to one of their critical future decisions. Each section of the process
is described, along with tips for effective use. The workshop can have up to four teams of 2-6 people, each learning and performing the DAR process. This workshop also provides
implementation details for the DAR Process Area in CMMI.

Project & program managers, engineers, EPG (engineering process group) members, and others who will be involved in making critical decisions or facilitating teams.
